I know that it has been a long while since I sent the last newsletter, but
with the cost of mailing and the time I have to devote to putting out a
quality newsletter I have decided to do physical newsletters only twice a
year. All the information that is contained in the newsletter is available
on line on the web site www.stitcherstreasures.com. I am sorry I have to
do that but the cost with the last increase in postage makes it prohibitive
to keep doing it 4 times a year. I update the web page several times a
month and I can add you to the email list if you would like. Just go to the
web page and you can add yourself to our email list or call and we will add
you.
The shop has been very busy and we have added a full line of Anchor #8
Pearl Cotton, Crescent Colours and Conjoined Creations Soy Threads. There
are several new needlepoint and cross stitch designers that we have adopted.
With the holidays coming upon us quickly, again, we will be decorating
the shop and having some fun upcoming events.
Alex will be here in November,
Thanksgiving weekend, to teach for us again. He will be teaching a chess
board with a border of his own creation. The class will be on Friday and
Saturday after Thanksgiving so if you aren’t out of town or if you a
visiting here during that time maybe you can catch the class. I will have a
picture of the piece on the web site.
Nancy will be teaching the Flint Cottage. This is a wonderful
thatched roof cottage with all kinds of options to make it your own. I have
model in the shop for you to see. There will be pre-stitching that needs to
be done prior to class. I have a list of suggested threads.
Things are coming along for our holiday plans. The City of Escondido
is having events going on every Saturday in the month of December prior to
Christmas. If you want to take a look at their website
www.downtownescondido.com/holidays.html.
Our schedule will be as follows:
December 1st - Open
House
December 8th - All Day
Stitch
December 15th - Men's
Shopping Day
December 22nd - Cider &
Cookies
December 24th and 31st - Closed at 1pm
I want to thank all of you for contributing to the fire victims in our
area that lost not only their homes but all the stitching. We have
collected numerous items to help with their recovery.
Well I am off for
now, I am sorry that we are having to cut back on the newsletter but I
really feel it was necessary. I hope you can feel comfortable to sign up
for the email list.
Happy Stitching,
Vicki
