Classes
Below are descriptions of all classes
being offered. For your convenience we are offering
Saturday classes. Models are in the shop for you to see. If you have any
questions about this schedule and the accompanying descriptions please call
us. You must prepay to hold your place. Since space is limited, all
classes are limited to 8 people. Please sign up early. Refunds will be given
for all classes if cancellation notice is given at least 48 hours in advance
of the scheduled class.
For any of the following classes please bring your normal stitching
supplies and whatever makes you feel comfortable when stitching, i.e. a
light, magnifier, stand or lap frame, etc. |

April
12, May 10 and June 14 (9:30 am - 12:00 pm) -
Cross Stitch 101 For all of you that have wanted to learn to cross stitch
and for those of you who know someone who wants to learn to cross stitch,
here is the class you have been waiting for. This class will teach all the
basics and then some. There are tricks that many of us have learned over the
years and are willing to share with anyone who wants to know. Come and join
in on the fun of learning and creating beautiful items for yourself and, if
you want gifts for others.
Cost is $25.00 and includes fabric,
floss, needle and chart.

May 10 and June 14 (1:00 pm - 4
pm) -Needlepoint
101 - This is a beginning class that will give you some of the basics in the art
of needlepoint. We will teach you 5 different stitches, just a bit beyond
the old standard continental stitch. There are books full of stitches these
days, let us just wet your taste buds with a few.
Cost is $25.00 and includes fabric,
floss, needle and chart.

All Day Stitchin
Come and join us for our All Day Stitchin on May 31st. No costs or requirements, just a fun day for stitching with others that enjoy the
same addiction.
We start with breakfast at 7:30 AM at
Coco’s Restaurant
1280 W. Valley Pkwy.
Escondido, CA 92029
Please RSVP 760-737-3113.
If you join us at Lunch time we usually order from a deli or bring whatever you want.
For the diehards that are still with us at dinner time
we take a consensus and either go and get take
out or walk to one of the nearby restaurants.
This is a fun time to get to know other stitchers and
just have a uninterrupted day to do what we love
the most.

June 22 & 23 -
Needlepoint Chess Board - Alex will be here teaching a chess board of
stitches. There are 64 different squares of stitches and his own design for
the border. The squares require 2 different shades and a dark, medium and
light of each both colors. You can either choose to use his stitches or we
can use a stitch book and choose other stitches of your choice. This is a
very flexible piece.
Cost is material and teaching fee to Alex
$50.00.
Don’t forget that Alex brings his wonderful supply of threads from Europe
when he visits us. |

Flint Cottage
We have a ordered some out of print books that
contain the Van Dyke Cottage. There will be a model in the shop shortly.
This piece reminds me of an English Thatch Roofed Cottage. There are many
options to make this cottage your own. Come by and look at the model so you
can start making your choices. There is some pre-work to be done before
class starts. I will have more information for you as soon as the books
arrive.
Cost is $25.00 for each session. The books are $15.00 each, plus materials

- (this is a 4 part class - additional dates to be decided by the class) -
Crazy Dreams - Canvas work
design by Carolyn Mitchell Designs for the intermediate canvas work stitcher.
Finished size is 12.88" square on 18 count French blue mono canvas using
pearl cotton size #5 and a large variety of threads. This is the project
they have been waiting for. The first thing you will discover about yourself
is that your collection is filled with your favorite colors making it easy
to blend colors together for this project. Because this is crazy patch you
do not have to use certain colors to achieve a shadow or a depth. Complete
charts and stitch instructions are included. There is a 4 minimum person
for this class. It will be a 4 month class that will require a commitment
from each student to all classes. There will also be work to be preformed
between the classes
in order to proceed to the next part. I am including a
picture.
Cost is $120.00
for all sessions plus materials & chart.
Minimum of 4 people for the class to be held.
